Located in Nichols, New York, minutes from Tioga Downs Racetrack and Casino, the Tioga Golf Club clubhouse provides an intimate space for patrons to congregate with both indoor and outdoor food and beverage areas overlooking the sprawling golf course. The single-storey facility was designed to respect the surrounding architectural language inherent to this area of Upstate New York, in terms of materiality, colour palette and maintaining the previously established scale of adjacent buildings. The long, horizontal overhang respects its expansive surroundings; informing the space for the outdoor patio and is punctuated by recognizable architectural elements including columns and dormers – giving the clubhouse a familiar and distinct aesthetic. The new Tioga Golf Club has had a successful first golf season as it provides flexible interior spaces suitable for private and club social events.
